Oops, it happened again. A 25-year-old teacher ran off with a 13 year-old-student to Mexico so they could fully realize their love relationship.
From a NYTimes article:
The teacher, Kelsey Peterson, a sixth-grade mathematics teacher and a basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, was arrested in Mexicali, Mexico, on the California border.
The boy was an eighth-grader at Lexington Middle School, but the district superintendent said that he had been in Ms. Peterson’s sixth-grade mathematics class.
I know it’s very dude of me to support this scandal, but seriously, how cool is it that Kelsey is a cougar at age 25?! And kidnapping a kid aka lover and taking him out of the country - how reckless! How daring! That takes ovarios.
And oh my lord the media is lasciviously licking it’s chops over the lurid details, describing letters that contained such sweet nothings as, “he called her ‘Baby Girl’ and said their relationship was ‘just not about the sex but it was pretty good.’” Obviously, society is jealous.
And think about the kid - here he is in Nebraska in a math class, and suddenly that has turned into rendezvousing in Mexico with an older woman and being on the lam! AND getting laid. C’mon, what were YOU doing when you were 13? I was sitting around miserable in the school library being picked on by other kids for not having designer clothes. I wish some sexy older lesbian teacher could have whisked me away from all that.
It’s too bad their little fling will land her in prison and him unable to return to the United States. They sent him off to live with his grandmother in Mexico, and now she’s rendezvousing with the FBI.
OK so what if this had been a 25-year-old dude and a 13-year-old girl? Duh, I’d be creeped out.

When I was 13 I would have given anything for my literature teacher to show me some love. He looked like Michael J. Fox and I thought Fox was the hottest man alive back then. Instead, boys kicked me in the halls and called me gross because I had a gap in my front teeth. Ahh middle school.

I didn’t have one good looking teacher untill I was in college! What’s with all the recent female teacher with a student scandals?? I think guys have always liked older women (especially a hot teacher), so it has to be the women! It is funny how the media sensationalizes these cases. I like when they disclose about how many times they had sex, maybe they could tell me what she was wearing too.

there’s a sort of twisted emotional aspect that creeps me out about this. many of these women somehow convince themselves they’re in love with these horny little bastards. maybe if they’re 16+, but 13? please. these cougars would carry more weight with me if they’d just come right out and say they get off on fucking virgin cocks.
there were plenty of teacher/student scandals in junior high and high school when i was growing up. mostly female student/male teacher scenarios, but not all. and everyone knew these teachers and students were fucking, nothing more. no running off to mexico. no leaving their spouses. just fucking. the boys got street cred with fellow classmates and the girls got labeled slut by their classmates.

16+ year old boys who fuck their teachers are not victims. They’re just not.
I find it hard to think of 16+ year old girls fucked by male teachers as victims either. Sure, in either case, if they were pressured or convinced or manipulated, it’s wrong. Rape is rape. But the teen years aren’t what they used to be. Fuck, I don’t think they were really like that back then. I would’ve never fucked one of my teachers, but if I wanted to, I think it would’ve been a personal, consentual choice.
