The Beautiful Kind

Ah, the things we’ll do for love.

My guy asked me to accompany him to The Simpsons Movie, and since I had already passed on the Transformers movie (give me a fucking break!), I decided to grant him my company for this one. It’s not that I have anything against The Simpsons - I think it’s funny and clever and makes fun of society properly, but I just don’t seek out mainstream cartoon movies (the last one I saw was the South Park movie, to cheer myself up after having a miscarriage).

Anyway, it was funny enough, though I really don’t get the humor of men getting hit in the nuts. I was most interested in listening to the 12-yr-old boy sitting behind me quoting lines along with the movie, clearly having seen the flick daily since it came out (or perhaps he was one of the film writers). The best part was seeing Bart’s little yellow penis as he skateboarded nude through downtown Springfield. I hope that scene starts a new summer trend.
