No WONDER American Men Are So Insensitive

A while back I posted something on circumcision. Since then I’ve discovered this article in LiveScience on the matter. It says:
For circumcised penises, the most sensitive region was the circumcision scar on the underside of the penis, the researchers found. For uncircumcised penises, the areas most receptive to pressure were five regions normally removed during circumcision—all of which were more sensitive than the most sensitive part of the circumcised penis.
Yikes. I don’t suppose nerve endings like that can be repaired years later, despite the men who attempt to restore the natural look of their penis. But I guess it’s good they didn’t get broken all together. If I was a guy who got snipped as a baby, I’d be mad, just like I’m mad I got baptized as a baby - silly ritual! I suppose it was done in order for me to get into heaven, and dammit I’ve had to work extra hard ever since preventing that.
Anyway, while they’re down there snipping baby peckers, can they give them vasectomies while they’re at it?

You wrote this post just to appeal to me on many different levels didn’t you?
I love that thumbnail of presumably an anti-circumcision poster. But since the anti-choicers have essentially raised the bar going to picket abortion clinics with pictures of gruesome bloody red fetuses, I imagine I won’t get as much attention with something like that standing outside the maternity ward at Barnes Jewish. Any idea where I might find pictures of piles of bloody baby foreskins?

Here’s a case that has made several textbooks. A few decades ago (in the 1950s, I think) some doctor with two left hands cut off a newborn’s entire penis. Of course, no anaesthesia is used during circumcision, so imagine! The parents, confronted with the terrible fact, chose to bring the kid up as a girl. The deal included hormonal treatment, but come adolescence, the cute little girl started liking other cute little girls … Not that’s what I call lack of choice.
But circumcision is horrible enough even if most of the penis stays there. I had a Jewish classmate who decided to get circumcised in college, to demonstrate his religiosity, I guess. Poor guy could barely pee, and he was on painkillers but still in pain during classes. No sex for six weeks. He used to be the soul of the party but after the circumcision became a little more withdrawn. At least it was his decision! Nobody did it to him when he was a helpless newborn.

I have EXPERIENCED penises not being sensitive enough. Circumcised guys who go on for hours and hours mechanically thrusting… are not my cup of tea, thank you. Too much friction, too few nerve endings.

I wonder if part of it could be psychological…something is stopping them from cuming. Like the way it can take women a long time to cum. Then again that can be circumstantial, and these men are ALWAYS like this…but maybe there is something stopping them in their minds (I was going to say in their head…hah but that is obvious).

I’ve been with a guy who couldn’t come at all, which is called retarded ejaculation and is a very rare sexual disorder. It was psychological — he said he had no problem with his ex-wife, but after the divorce couldn’t come with any new women in his life. Or took him something like a month of incessant exercise to get to the point where he could come again. Mind you, he wasn’t a tantric yogi and couldn’t orgasm without ejaculating. Didn’t have much control over hardness and speed either. Was circumcised, of course, but the issue definitely was more in his brain than in his penis.

Jen, I thought so too, but by most of the comments here and some of my experience it turns out that many women don’t know that… and other stuff too. For example, I’ve been with a girl, which thought that 69 was missionary. After that I did a little research and it turned out that not so much people knew what 69 was about.
