Discussing My Career Path With Dad
Filed under: Fambly - March 7, 2007 @ 6:43 amThe other day I was sitting around with my parents shooting the shit. I said to them, “Look here. I work as a contractor 40 hours a week for a recruiting agency who pimps me out and makes money off me. Plus, I hate my job. I might as well work for myself and whore myself out to 5 rich old men, work only a few hours a week, and make twice the money.”
My dad agreed. He said, “You could get some regulars and do it right…”
“RAYMOND!” my mom exclaimed. “You’re talking to your DAUGHTER.”
“Well she wouldn’t be a hooker,” he said huffily. “She’d be high class, like a…call girl.”
“Escort,” I corrected.

I have 2 sons and i’ve always dreaded the thought of having a daughter-mostly because of these types of conversations. but your dad almost makes me want to have a daughter. almost.

Well, I guess that decides it then! I’ll just have to get disgustingly wealthy now…

It seems we live parallel lives, because I was just telling my own dad the other day at dinner how I would pose for Playboy if I had the body. He told me to stop when I said, Two nips for a million bucks is an easy trade.
I have another related story, but I’m going to blog it on my MySpace page where I can get the credit.

I’m thinking of charging $300/hr - that seems to be the going rate these days. While I figure out details, I can tide myself over by selling underwear from the Panty Parade.

$300 for ‘full service’ sounds very reasonable. Let me know when you make it out to Seattle.

Let me also use this oppurtunity to thank you profusely for all your good writing and living. You seem to have excellent skills as a mother, a lover , a family member.
And everything is in such good taste.
And do go to Burgundy, Umbria, Dolomiti and all the other fine places in Europe. It’s worth it.
