He liked them so much, he returned the favor by sending me a copy of his manuscript proof that just got accepted in a top-tier journal in his field. Tit for tat?

I once blogged an incoherent rant in which I made up a word towards the end to try to summarize my rage. That caught the attention of a prof who apparently had written entire papers on the economy that mentioned this one new word that I had fabricated. He sent me frantic letters proving that he had said this gibberish word first, complete with references. It amused me to no end.
